Oracle figures are an ode to the oldest known sculpture, the Shigur Idol. Twice as old as the Great Pyramids, it’s head in a gentle bow, it’s body covered in undeciphered markings, it’s power undeniable. The artist rethinks this sculptural ancestor with gestures, and encased materials covered in gesso and plaster.
